Every AI generation and direct code edit creates a new version of your game automatically. Pixelfork saves your entire history so nothing is ever permanently lost. How to open it Click the clock icon in the top bar, to the right of the game name. This opens the version history panel showing a chronological list of every version, each timestamped and labeled by the prompt or action that created it. Previewing past versions Click any version in the list to preview it live in the Preview tab — without overwriting your current version. This lets you compare versions simply by switching between them, so you can see exactly what changed and when. Restoring a previous version If a change went in the wrong direction, click Restore on any past version to make it your active game. One click, instant rollback. The restored version then becomes the new starting point for any future changes. Why it matters Version history removes the fear of experimenting. Try a radical new mechanic, a completely different visual direction, or a structural rebuild — knowing you can undo any of it in seconds. It encourages bolder iteration, which leads to better games faster.
